After finishing university with a Business degree in 2005, AJL Finance founder Jamie McElwaine moved straight into financial services with a role at HBOS plc. He worked within the asset finance department before moving to LDF (now White Oak) in 2009. Here, Jamie worked in various support roles before joining the sales team in 2012. Jamie worked for LDF for a further four years before branching out, and he began working for himself as a freelance finance broker.
In 2018, Jamie co-founded JPM Capital Finance Limited and was an integral part of the company, which became an FCA authorised broker and lender.
In October 2021, Jamie decided to set up an independent finance brokerage whereby clients could access fast, flexible and fair finance.
