UK accountancy and advisory firm DJH has set its sights on strengthening its services to the Irish market.

The group has offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Huddersfield, and recently acquired and rebranded Dublin’s MSD Accountants DJH Ireland. The transition process took six months to complete and marks the launch of DJH’s wider expansion plans. Business heads at the group have stated that the firm now aims to scale the accountancy practice to over 10 million euros in revenue, using a mix of targeted acquisitions and organic growth.

Business loans for accountants can sometimes prove instrumental to growth strategies. Finance can cover the cost of new acquisitions that allow companies to establish a foothold in different regions.

MSD Accountant’s Brendan Murtagh, head of assurance and Richard Daly, managing partner, commented that as a subsidiary of DJH, the firm has already extended its former capacity, performance and specialist expertise, and anticipates a 10% increase in fees.

DJH Ireland now intends to acquire a series of small to medium-sized accountant practices throughout Ireland to increase the group’s presence. Daly added that the Dublin-based firms are excited about the recent rebranding and taking on the support and systems used by DJH. He said that the practice’s existing client base had approved of the takeover unanimously and was already benefiting from its partner’s specialists in Leeds, Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent. He also commented that the firm had already hired three new specialists, and that 2026 would now be an exciting year for DJH Ireland.
