UK-based finance Asset Advantage has recently conducted a survey revealing key commercial market trends. The study focusses on both the present and future landscapes of small-medium-sized enterprises’ (SMEs) requirements for funding.

Previous reports into the SME finance landscape have shown a significant rise in non-traditional financing compared to that from larger banks. The study is designed to benefit many who are looking to further explore the challenges to SMEs and funding for their clientele.

The survey by Asset Advantage was utilised to ensure meeting the ever-changing demands of the market, as stated by Gary Thompson, the company’s sale director.

The sectors traced will be those such as client requirements and their evolution and the appetite of funders. Thompson also stated that the businesses’ key focus this year is investing in growth.

The survey maps not just growing trends in SME finance, but marks a shift towards the importance of finance for SME on the whole. Many businesses are cracking down on their strategies for finance-supported SME growth.

Insights generated by the survey will be crucial to clear understanding of SME needs. For example, growing needs for business acquisitions and asset finance, in addition to business loans.

At AJL Finance, we recognise not just the growing and changing needs for all UK SME business loans, but also take care to tailor each deal to the specific demands of each business, as part of the open and honest relationship we strive to build with every client.
