Knights Pharmacy received a substantial business loan this year to grow its presence in South Wales.
Knights has chosen to acquire pharmacies that are stationed in important community locations like Cynon Valley, Rhondda, among other sites in the area.
The reinvigorated branches will now be able to offer a wider selection of the clinical services its known for, and will benefit from enhanced digital systems. Loans for doctors, dentists, pharmacies and other healthcare enterprises can help further expansion aims, but are also used to update technology and improve the level of patient service they can supply.
Some elements of the original businesses will remain unchanged, however. For instance, a spokesperson for Knights commented that all staff working in the pharmacies will be retained to guarantee they can still supply the same level of local knowledge and care.
A family-operated business, Knights Pharmacy was named by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s one thousand quickest growing companies for turnover. Commenting on the listing, Anand Sodha, managing director for the firm, stated that Knights’ strategy involved carefully expanding in the industry’s changing landscape.
Regarding the growth in Wales, the managing director said:
“These are well respected community pharmacies with strong local roots, and this expansion reflects the trust we have in our teams across Wales, both existing and new.”
He added that he was pleased that the new acquisitions let Knights Pharmacy serve more patients in the region with the level of care they deserve. The acquisitions will take the pharmaceutical chain’s footprint to more than 70 outlets.
