Family-owned firm, Wold Top Brewery is exploring new opportunities to export its beer after securing a loan of £200,000.
Based in Driffield in East Riding, Yorkshire, the business has brewed high-quality beer for more than two decades and exports its products to Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Italy. With the support of fresh funding, it now aims to expand its operations and reach new markets.
Financing future growth, the loan will let the Wold Top Brewery bring its beer range, that is made with locally sourced ingredients, to North America and extend its current portfolio in Europe.
Manufacturing business loans can help beermakers and other producers scale up how they operate and access new customers around the world. A range of flexible loans are available that allow companies to cover greater costs, purchase inventory and equipment and pay for the rent or purchase of new business premises.
Launched in 2003, the Wold Top Brewery started as a solution to sustain a flagging family farm. Its owners optimised the use of onsite water and the fields of malt and barley growing on the land to become brewers with the assistance of a government grant for farm diversification. After running for only five years, the brewery achieved a major milestone, when it exported its beers over to Italy. The success was swiftly followed by further European exports.
The recent loan will now provide essential cash flow to ease the gaps between shipping and delivering beer and receiving payment.
