The Fisher Care Group recently signed a finance agreement to secure significant funds for its plans to acquire and develop new care homes in the North of England.
The group aims to expand its presence in the region with two new homes that will accommodate a further 136 residents as part of its ongoing goal to improve its impact in the residential care sector.
Along with purchasing new properties, loans for nursing homes can fund a wide variety of objectives including ordering expensive equipment like medical beds and lifting apparatus, as well as hiring new staff, improving websites and marketing campaigns and providing working capital for day-to-day running.
The first new site is in East Yorkshire located in the town of Bridlington. Called “The Maltings Care Home”, it will have a 59-bed capacity and supply personalised and compassionate care. The property purchase is complete and the building ready for use, but the group will develop the facility further to meet its standards and to supply consistent levels of premium service.
Atkinson House in Leeds in the second facility. Designed to answer a range of different care needs, it has room for 76 residents. Like The Maltings, the building is ready for use but will be modified to meet Fisher Care requirements.
Headquartered in Newcastle, the Fisher Care Group already operates two care homes in Yorkshire. As a result, once the new facilities open in the new year, it will have four sites in the North of England in its portfolio.
